As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Client Engagement Partner to lead strategic relationships within an established client portfolio of valued clients - clients who expect a partner who understands their business, anticipates what’s next, does what they say they'll do and helps shape their future direction.
The Opportunity
This is a high-impact role focused on face-to-face engagement, strategic planning and commercial leadership across your portfolio.
Based in our Napier office you will operate across the region, building deep partnerships at all levels of our clients’ organisations – from operational leaders through to CEO’s, C-suite executives and boards.
This is not a support or coordination role.
You’ll lead strategic and commercial conversations about:
Multi-year technology roadmaps
Investment planning and budgeting
Business risk, continuity and resilience
Change readiness and adoption
Identifying opportunities for innovation and growth
You’ll take ownership of the relationship, bringing the right specialists from across Yorb to design and deliver solutions aligned to your clients’ business goals.
What Success Looks Like
Long-term partnerships built on trust, transparency and board-level alignment
Growth and expansion of accounts through proactive identification of business opportunities
Clear, strategic roadmaps collaboratively designed with clients and Yorb Digital Consultants (where applicable), and executed by Yorb
Consistent revenue performance, margin management and commercial accountability
Owning a well-managed pipeline with clear, accurate forecasting
Building and leveraging networks to grow relationships and create new opportunities
Strong advocacy for Yorb at executive and board level
Visible client outcomes that demonstrate value, impact and measurable business improvement
You shape the direction, not just the conversation.
About You
You bring a blend of commercial acumen, strategic thinking and credible executive presence.
You likely have:
Experience owning senior relationships with C-suite and board-level stakeholders
A background in strategic account management, business development, technology consulting, or similar roles with commercial responsibility
Confidence leading in-person conversations about business priorities, risk, budgets and long-term planning
Proven ability to identify business problems and connect them with the right technical or consulting capability
Strong commercial literacy - able to discuss budgets, ROI, value and outcomes with confidence
Excellent planning, documentation and communication skills
A partnership mindset: collaborative, proactive and accountable
IT industry experience is beneficial, but the ability to think commercially and lead strategic conversations is essential.
